THE CRUCIFIX IS JUST AN ACCESSORY?

This outfit is made with a high neck and an apron that cut right through the neck area.

Having worn it the first time without any accessory, I just thought to glam it a little differently by putting on a chain with the crucifix on it.

The outfit looked nice but the crucifix made it look like I’m being overly religious for the occasion. Then I tried to cajole my fashion brain that it’s only an accessory. (Something inside instantly pinched me) “ONLY AN ACCESSORY?”

How many of us use the crucifix as an accessory or wear it as a weapon?

Do you think by putting a symbol that depicts God on your body, that it Automatically makes you religious?

Could putting on a symbol of the cross immune you from sickness and diseases?

Well, this was exactly what the children of Israel did when they faced the philistines. They came down with the “Ark of covenant” to fight because they thought by bringing a symbol of God’s presence with them, they could win the battle.

Guess what, they were defeated hands down and this is because they didn’t have a RELATIONSHIP with God.

Figures showed that about 30,000 people died because they played religion, they played church, and looked like they were religiously armed yet they took the main ABBA (GOD) for granted and lost the battle.

How many things are dying in your life because you are busy playing church instead of focusing on your relationship with God?

Be liberated today. Drop the slogan, the look alike and actually seek to know HIM, pick that bible under your pillow and actually dig deep for insight.

It is the weapon of our warfare but it’s only activated by the spoken word that has already been digested into your soul and your spirit man feeds on it.

Then Christ can dwell on your inside with or without the physical symbol, you bare on your body the mark of the Lord JESUS by virtue of your relationship with Him. (Gal 6:17)

This day, my prayer for you is that the Presence of God will not depart from you in Jesus name. 🙏🏽

Sunmbo Adeoye is Touching the Lives of Market women in Agege

This is Iya ibeta. I have known her since the 80’s. She sells Vegetable leaves and have been dedicated to this business for as long as I have known her.
In her words, She started off with just a tray and has successfully grown her vegetable business to this point in nothing less than 30years.

Yes Over 30years.

What bits me is the fact that there are many market women like Iya ibeta who are religiously committed and dedicated to their micro business, yet they record little or no growth because of obvious reasons.

As a deliberate act of the Inspiring change initiative to better improve, educate and transform the lives of women in micro businesses, I and my team @inspiringchang have dedicated the month of FEB & MARCH 2019 to gather market women in 4 different markets within Agege community for an Entrepreneurial Advancement Talk (E.A.T) and Empowerment.

We took it a little further by empowering them with tools and also financially while monitoring closely their growth to ensure they see and record a ground breaking growth.
I strongly believe Empowering women is one of the smartest investments we can make and I have been committed to this vision for 5years.

PRINCE DAVID THE CHAMPION

6months ago, my life changed. My home became larger by one more champion, after five years of multiple miscarriages. This is indeed the Lord’s blessing and it is marvelous in our sight.

In between the overwhelming schedule of nursing and the little little sleeps (more like a nap) here and there... hmm! God bless all mothers worldwide.

Thank God for the joy and innocence in your tenderness.

Dear sister, if you are believing God for a miracle such as this, don’t give up yet. Faith in God and perseverance will carry you too through in Jesus name

Is 2019 still a NEW YEAR?

DEBT & GUILT FREE CHRISTMAS

ONCE UPON A TIME..... 😁 I’m guessing dad had no prior knowledge someone would be visiting me so (I’m thinking) a last minute opportunity came to send me ‘something’ through my sister and he wouldn’t let the chances pass by him.....🤔

This was 12years old me. I was away from home and it was that year when I turned 13💃🏾There was no cell phones 📵for my age group and no Facebook shout outs 🗣too 😁 back in the days. My birthday came🎂🎂 and my older sister came visiting👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩It wasn’t only her visit that made my day but the fact that she came bearing a birthday Card “hand written and designed by My dad”.💌

Truth is I have always loved cards and dad knowing this must have thought it would make my day. And YES! YES!! YES!!! it did. Now here’s the part that got to my heart. HE DIDN’T BUY ME A NEW CARD, He simply picked one of the old cards at home, tore off the already printed leaf inside (who does that🤣) and wrote such beautiful words in black ink 📝 just for me on my birthday ❤️

I’m thinking!!! “Could dad be broke? Why didn’t he just buy a new card. This one isn’t looking neat and why isn’t it in an envelop”? Little childish THOUGHTS IN MY HEAD before I flipped open the card. Guess what? .....WHILE READING HIS MESSAGE , MY COUNTENANCE CHANGED, THE JOY IN MY HEART AND THE SMILE ON MY FACE ..... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️omg!

I still remember that day and wish I could say “thank you Dad” again for the card. From the words he wrote to the thought of writing and the guts to even edit and send a used greeting card 🤣🤣🤣 , I knew Daddy loved me. I knew he would give me more if he had the opportunity.

I saw GENUINE LOVE and the desire to make his child feel Loved and a zeal to just pass on an information precious enough to make me smile 💕💕💕and the value of living such memory in my heart for life. (irrespective of the way it seems at first) There are many lessons and memories I relish on about my Dad and several birthdays have passed with BIGGER GIFTS from him but this singular act taught me a vital lesson I will never forget in a hurry.

I then made up my mind that either I have expensive gifts or not, I will never miss out on showing love to people whom I genuinely care about.

👉🏽LESSON : So if a card is all you have this season of giving and sharing, don’t kill yourself with guilt if you are not able to match it with expensive gifts for the ones you love. Don’t hold back the visit or call because you don’t want to go empty handed.

To show love shouldn't always be about the gifts. You can clear your closet by removing the ones that are no longer your size and just give it to close relatives who may need them. Sometimes a call could just be all that matters to that "Loved one" right now.Sometimes send a card, visit or just share a hug, hold their hands, Listen to them, text a message, or just hand write a note. It WILL(may)go a long way.

Ps: some of us (I) still appreciate greeting cards and no matter how affordable a bulk seems, it cost something too. So my brothers & Sisters, make sure you have a "debt free" Christmas..... and remember CHRIST IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. (James 1:17).

Don’t postpone your Joy

Why spend so much for a birthday? Is it a movie??? Sunmbooooo you are setting us (wives) on a rat race ooo. Few of the comments I received from the effect of this video.

Hahahaha, little did they know It was more than that....

I had just returned back from America where I went to have my baby but with another sad case of miscarriage.

Then October came, thank you Lord, at least we have a reason to celebrate.

Instantly I wore my creative crown. My love and I deserve some fun jare. Life is short.

Then I went all out. This was my place of HAPPINESS🥂 another opportunity to create a wow moment with the one I Love. Instead of wallowing in self pity and feeling down, I took some time off to enjoy life on a boat cruise with my man.

He was so happy. We laughed, danced, made a toast to many happy returns 🥂Little did we know our miracle (PRINCE DAVID will click that night. Fast forward 07:07:2018 our prince showed up.

For what it’s worth, a little enjoyment (for two,in our case or oneself) comes with great gain.

Today we celebrated Pastor’s 48th Birthday with our baby in our arms.

Listen sister, Your Miracle will find you in a place of happiness. Don’t postpone your JOY.  Embrace life, Drop the knife and trust God absolutely.

WHAT’S YOUR EXCUSE AGAIN?

Early this year, I attended my son’s school inter house sporting event.  It was one of those days when I was tired of staying at home because of the fear of Miscarriage.

So the games went really well and the energy was on top gear. Na so dem call “PARENTS RACE OOO” if you know me well, you know how much I love to inspire. Something in me just got up to cheer other parents up to come on the field as every one Dey form shyness 🤣🤣

Then, fiam 🏃🏽‍♀️ off I go to represent my son. As a proud mum of  soccer champions. I can’t fall their hand oo 🤣🙌 Ah! What are you doing? Said one parent. “I have come to run and represent my category” 😁😁 They all laughed and the race began.... 🏃🏽‍♀️

🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️ See sprinters, Chei. 2mins and they were all on the finish line.... but wait ooo, everyone is still clapping, Infact they are now standing, wow!!! They are clapping louder.... there’s a pregnant parent on the pitch and she’s almost on the finish line.

Slowly  and steady 🤰🏽 with my cute bum, I finished the race and was given a gift.
Yes I won. No I wasn’t first or second. I SIMPLY CREATED MY CATEGORY and WON with my uniqueness.

What’s your excuse again? YOU CAN DO IT. And YES! You will win.
